Current Research

I am a first year PhD student and my research is focusing on the impact of rurality and post industrialisation on the help-seeking behaviours of parents involved in child protection, the public law outline and care proceedings. The impact of place and space on how people interact with the world around them appears to be neglected in relation to this topic and I hope to identify specific barriers and facilitators to help-seeking behaviours within this population that can help influence social work practice moving forward.
