Research overview

I am responsible for the organisation and delivery of practicals in the LEC teaching laboratories and supporting UG and PG dissertation projects in environmental science. My work involves providing practical solutions for determining environmental contaminants such as nutrients, heavy metals, microplastics, POPs, NOx & SOx, greenhouse gases and formaldehyde in a variety of matrices. My work also involves novel and routine procedures for the measurement of environmental parameters such as DOC, PSD, micronutrients, CEC, pH, microbial biomass, chlorophyll-a, etc.
