John's interests are in common law generally, and tort law in particular.

Career Details
John started academic life at the University of Sussex many years ago. He then worked at Manchester University for about 20 years before coming to Lancaster in August 2013.
External Roles
John is a Herbert Smith Freehills Visitor to the Faculty of Law in the University of Cambridge in 2019.
