Research Interests

I am fascinated by language acquisition, socio-cognitive development, and the contextual factors that shape children’s developmental trajectories.

During my PhD at Lancaster University, I investigated word learning from written contexts in early childhood under the supervision of Professors Kate Cain and Margriet Groen. My research focused on the role of book format, scaffolding features, and child characteristics in the word learning process. This work was funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA ITN) on Early Language Development in the Digital Age (e-LADDA).

As a visiting researcher at Lancaster, I am following up on my PhD studies while developing a novel line of research that examines the links between social contingency, vocalisations, and early vocabulary development. This work is supported by the WiRe Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Münster, Germany.
