Profile

I am a Research Associate within the Division of Health Research. I have obtained my Bachelor's and Master's in Psychology in Italy and have joined Lancaster University in 2013, where I completed a PhD in Health Research focusing on emotional processing and communication in Huntington's disease.

I am currently working on Minds & Movement, a project developed by Lancaster University and the British Psychological Society and aimed at producing guidance on psychological approaches to the understanding and treatment of psychological difficulties in adults with motor neurodegenerative conditions. 

Research Interests

My main research interests include clinical psychology and neuropsychology, especially in relation to the psychological difficulties faced by people with neurodegenerative disorders such as Huntington's, Parkinson's, and motor neurone disease. In particular, I am interested in how these conditions affect specific psychological processes such as emotion regulation and recognition, communication, and pereceived control.
