Research overview

I am an applied micro-economist. My research mainly focuses on the dynamics of firms in developing countries in relation to various issues regarding international trade, labour economics, innovation, and economic development. In particular, I look at how changes in different types of market conditions affect firm-level outcomes such as trade, productivity, wages, demand for labour, product choice, innovation, organization, investments, etc. using firm level data.

I would be happy to supervise PhD students with an interest in empirical international trade and development, and their overlap with an emphasis on working with trade agreements and/or firm-level datasets.
