Pennie Drinkall

Profile

I have worked at Lancaster University since 1993 in various roles but mostly in Sociology.

I have been the administrator for CeMoRe (Centre for Mobililties Research) and the Managing Editor for Mobilities Journal since their humble beginnings in 2003.

Office Hours

The office is usually manned on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Personal Information

Outside of uni I run a small bespoke curtain-making and design company - The Window Tailor- private commissions always welcome and I have a staff of one.  We really enjoy the work and I especially enjoy designing new window treatments.

My husband Roy, is a solicitor with local firm Ratcliffe & Bibby. We have two sons.

I am a keen bee-keeper and currently have five hives dotted about the locality.  As each hive is collecting nectar from different sources each honey has a completely different taste and consistency.  I'm hoping for a good crop this year to help recoup some of  my expenses.  I am mentoring two novice bee-keepers.
