I am a geologist specialized in volcanology, interested in magmatic processes and how they control style, intensity and impact of volcanic eruptions. My research activity involves both fieldwork and laboratory experiments, with recent work spanning from the impact behaviour of fragmented magma droplets, to the eruption dynamics and hazard of monogenetic eruptions in volcanic islands.
As a research technician, my work also involves the daily oversight and safe use of laboratory spaces and equipments, training and induction of lab users, and support research work of other associates through the measurement of different physical properties of analogue fluids and granular materials.
Beyond volcanology, I am passionate about environmental and social justice, interested in plastic and chemical pollution and their effects on human health. I actively led initiatives on environmental awareness, such as for the reduction of waste and cigarette butts pollution.
