My thesis is provisionally entitled: Frames and Cuts: Post-Millennial Representations of West Asian Female Identities.

My current research interests include: postcolonial feminism(s); inter-media relations (written text, visual media); West Asia; the Middle-East; post-9/11; geo-politics/ transnational relations; testimony/ witnessing; politics of translation; Orientalism(s) and Imperialism(s); graphic novels (esp. in postcolonial contexts); and fantastical and/or gothic (esp. in postcolonial/global texts).
