Research overview

My research sits at the confluence of regional economic geography and innovation policy studies. I am especially interested in innovation and economic development in weaker and peripheral regions, and how we can better theortise and study these contexts. I am also interested in the role of universities as drivers of regional economic growth through their engagement in the governance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development in different ways.
