I am a PhD Research Student at the ESRC-funded Centre for Corpus Approaches to Social Science (CASS), which is affiliated with the Department of Linguistics and English Language (LAEL) at Lancaster University.
My research interests lie within corpus linguistics. My PhD project is the compilation of the Spoken British National Corpus 2014 (Spoken BNC2014), a new, ten million word corpus of informal, real-life spoken British English. Other research interests include corpus design, language change/variation in spoken British English, and corpus-based (critical) discourse analysis.
