Research overview

I am interested in the interaction between mental and physical health and multi-disciplinary investigation of psychological constructs, including the use of physiological measurements. My PhD thesis examined the links between obesity and negative affect (depression, anxiety, loneliness, rumination and worry). This included examining group level differences in executive cognition, and haemodynamic brain activity (functional Near-infra–Red Spectrometry) and self-reported executive function problems.

As a former computer science teacher, I also have an interest in teaching and learning techniques, neurodivergence and human factors in digital design.
