Sara Bellamio holds a Double Master's Degree in Demography and Social Research from Pompeu Fabra University (Spain) and University of Trento (Italy).

As a PhD student at Lancaster University, her research aims to investigate the challenges faced by family justice practitioners when dealing with referrals of children in need of protection to live with relatives abroad, with a particular focus on children's rights.
