I am a PhD qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in hydro turbine design, tidal energy and wave energy.
In my current role I am collaborating with industrial partners LiNa Energy and I will be utilising CFD to optimise the thermal management of a 1 kWh battery pack. The research is funded as part of the UKRI Faraday Battery challenge.
I have experience in project management, previously leading an R&D team working on CFD and experimental analysis and optimisation of hydro schemes. I have published numerous journal papers and presented my research at national and international conferences. I am an active member of the Lancaster University Renewable Energy Group and sit on the board of the Fluid Machinery Group part of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
