Sean Petley

Sean is a PhD student in Engineering at Lancaster University and a member of the Lancaster University Renewable Energy & Fluid Machinery Group. He graduated from Lancaster in 2014 with an MEng (Hons) in Sustainable Mechanical Engineering.

Sean is currently researching jet-casing interactions in impulse turbines using computational fluid dynamics and experimental modelling. Other research projects include numerical modelling of a tidal lagoon calculating annual energy generation and design optimisation of an overtopping wave energy convertor device.
