My main research interests lie in the field of International Trade, with special focus on International Trade and Labour Outcomes and International Trade and Organisation of Firms. In particular, I have studied the impact of offshoring (i.e., trade in tasks/intermediates) on the age-skill composition of labour demand and on age-skill labour demand elasticities, as well as the association of intra-firm trade of foreign affiliates of Multinational Corporations with certain firm characteristics (e.g. size, productivity) and with knowledge transferred to them from the parent company. More recently, I have also studied the association of the quantity and quality of jobs with the foreign ownership status of firms in Sub-Saharan Africa.
