My current area of research is looking at health status and health inequalities of people with learning disabilities for the Improving Health and Lives: Learning Disabilities Observatory. This includes work on health checks, advocacy, reasonable adjustments, JSNAs, Autism Self-Assessment framework and learning disabilities Self-Assessment Framework.
My previous research projects have focussed on learning disabilities, religion, spirituality, ethnicity, carer supports, disability equality, and health. I completed my PhD at Lancaster University looking at Christian Faith in the Lives of Families with an Adult with Learning Disabilities.
