As a first year PhD student, my research focuses on developing a journal-based intervention to improve mother-daughter communication and enhance self-perception in women. The project aims to promote resilience against societal norms, support preventative mental health strategies, and offer therapeutic insights by encouraging open conversations that challenge intergenerational beliefs about identity and self-image.

After completing an Access to Higher Education course in Social Science, I discovered a passion for psychology and earned a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire. My final-year project on mother-daughter relationships and women's body image earned the Hugh Wagner Memorial Prize and the School Prize for Best Research Project.
