Profile

Thang Ho is a PhD Candidate in Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). He is interested in research areas related to empirical asset pricing, institutional investors, and climate finance. His current PhD research, supervised by Dr. Anastasios Kagkadis and Dr. George Wang, focuses on performance of hedge funds in the cross-section, the effect of political risk on option pricing, and the effect of climate sensitivity on mutual fund returns. 

At LUMS, Thang holds a teaching assistant position for AcF 400 "Database", AcF 501 "Quantitative Methods for Finance", and AcF 609 "Financial Econometrics". He also assists MSc Finance students with theses on topics related to factor investing and the cross-section of stock returns. 

Thang holds a Master degree in Advanced Financial Analysis with Distinction from Lancaster University, where he was awarded the best overall performance in this master program. Thang passed all 3 levels of the CFA exams consecutively on the first attempts.
