Research student

Profile

I graduated from Lancaster University in 2017 with a Bsc in Mathematics and Statistics. I was attracted to the STOR-i programme after completing the STOR-i internship in the summer of 2016 where I worked on 'Detecting Match-Fixing in Tennis' with Oliver Hatfield. Combining this with my enjoyment of statistic modules in my degree and the excellent STOR-i ethos meant STOR-i was an obvious choice for me.

My PhD project involves identifying changepoint in time series data. Specifically, I'm interested in high-dimensional time series data and using projections to reduce the dimension of the time series while still preserving and then identifying changepoints. My industrial partner is Royal Mail where my supervisors are Jeremy Bradley and Gueorgui Mihaylov. Our aim is to utilize changepoint detection in order to aid multiple projects they are currently working on. My supervisor at Lancaster University is Rebecca Killick.
