Research overview

Wanlin Zhang is Ph.D. candidate at the ImaginationLancaster Design Research Center, Lancaster University, UK. With a background in product design and social innovation, she has been involved in several design projects and funded research projects both in China and UK. Her current thesis centers on design interventions in heritage making practices, specifically within the context of central China. Her research interests include culturally significant designs and products, design for sustainability, craft-design collaborations, and Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Wanlin is also PhD Researcher on the AHRC Located Making project, which is conducted by Professor Stuart Walker of Lancaster University and Professor Martyn Evans of Manchester Metropolitan University.

Research Grants
