My PhD project is to explore the relationship between craft, making and design for sustainability; and examine the current crafts and craft practices espeically in the Yangtze River Delta, China; to determine the particular issues and problems with them. Eventually it aims to develop design led strategies and ecosystems for the crafts in this region in line with the principles of sustainability.
