Xiaoxi Wu is a Ph.D. candidate in accounting at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), Lancaster University. She expects to graduate in 2019.

Her research interests include financial reporting and communication, voluntary and mandatory disclosures, and the influence of personal traits. She is also interested in the application of inter-disciplinary techniques such as corpus analysis, machine learning, and discourse analysis.

She held a visiting Ph.D. position at Fuqua School of Business, Duke University in 2017. She was admitted to the EAA Doctoral Colloquium in 2017. Prior to joining the Ph.D. programme at LUMS, Xiaoxi received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance (First-class Honours) from Cardiff University and a Research Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management (Distinction) from Lancaster University.
