Research overview

Yvonne’s main research interests relate to modern slavery, human trafficking and related exploitative practices. More specifically Yvonne’s research focuses on critical perspectives of modern slavery and contemporary legal and policy responses to slavery and human trafficking including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

 

Profile

Yvonne first graduated from Lancaster University with a BA (Hons) degree in History and Religious Studies (2011) before going on to undertake an MA in International Slavery Studies from the University of Liverpool (2012). Yvonne went on to graduate with Distinction from Liverpool John Moores University with a Graduate Diploma in Law (2013) and a PhD from the University of Liverpool School of Law and Social Justice (2019).
