N2 - North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) provides helicopter emergency medical service to the Northwest of England. Their three healthcare teams provide their service from two bases with three helicopters. They face some research questions to understand the impact of the air ambulance base locations and the healthcare teams' composition on their services. This paper aims to address those questions by modelling their operations into a location-related decision problem. Then we developed a matheuristic approach to solving the model and generated many realistic instances from historical data to validate our proposed approach's robustness. With the help of our experimental results, we examine the effect of adjusting air ambulance base locations as well as team configurations on the service quality measures to answer the research questions.
