Abstract

Ablations Mont Mine is the second in a series of live process led drawings that are made - or un made- in situ in real time over hours as they are exposed to the heat of the sun. Made with wax, the drawn marks begin to fade and melt. The drawings depict images of glacial archaeology and the events were staged at the foot of glaciers, on the ground that has become exposed as ice has melted. Lice the ice and archaeology, as the heat increases the drawing gradually fades.
