Abstract

A telephone theatre piece presented by Kamome Machine at University of Cologne during International Federation for Theatre Research conference. This new piece was inspired by Samuel Beckett's 'Breath' which is a famous 35-second play. Director Yuta Hagiwara adopted this piece as a participatory telephone theatre piece. Audience members record his/her/their own breath on the dial phone like a message. Then other audience members listen the others breath. By using dial phone, we will feel other's body through his/her/their breath.
