Abstract

The double corrugated waveguide has been demonstrated to be a suitable solution for the design and fabrication of a 0.346 GHz backward wave oscillator. One of the main challenges is the coupling of the double corrugated waveguide with the flanges. Two different couplers are investigated and compared. S-Parameters for the two configurations have been simulated and it is demonstrated that both configurations perform well, both producing better than -20dB S11 parameter over a bandwidth of about 10 GHz.
