Abstract

In this paper, after narrating some anecdotal experience, I limit myself to a brief presentation and juxtaposition of discourse studies and critical discourse studies, their developments in the social sciences, and their differences and overlaps. I also ask what research agenda could be important in the near future, in times of multiple crises.
