Abstract

The book chapter introduces the motivation and rationale for the provision of value-added services (VAS) by supply chain services providers across the consumer, healthcare, technology and and automotive sectors. Examples of such VAS include secondary packaging, hospital logistics, drug serialization and pre-delivery inspections for vehicles. The book chapter includes interviews/case studies at Singapore-based companies such as DHL, Unilever and R-Logic.
