Also, multiple surveys were applied at the beginning and end of the study in individual households to estimate the improvement of children{\textquoteright}s health outcomes. The t-tests and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests were used to compare the PM2.5 levels and overall scores for health outcomes between pre- and post-intervention.Results: The indoor PM2.5 levels in each place in households were significantly improved, and overall PM2.5 levels significantly decreased by 0.95 µg/m3 on average (p<0.01). All surveys indicated that our intervention led to better health outcomes. Particularly, the improvement in asthma-related quality of life was statistically significant in both children and their parents (p<0.05).Conclusions: This pilot study suggested that the household intervention with air purifier and asthma education improved IAQ in households and health outcomes in children with asthma. Future large-scale studies are needed to verify the effectiveness of household intervention to improve IAQ and asthma management.",
