title = "How Entrepreneurs use Networks to Learn in a Crisis",
abstract = "Aim - This research seeks to better understand how experienced entrepreneurs utilise networks to generate new learning and then share that learning and receive feedback through their networks. Methodology - This qualitative research draws on the empirical study of four entrepreneurs who have been recording their practices in free form diaries since March 2020. A thematic analysis of those diaries identified networks and shared learning as a vehicle entrepreneurs used to manage their situation. This study relines on an interpretative approach to the research so an in-depth understanding can be arrived at. Contribution – The research findings demonstrates the entrepreneurs are under considerably more pressures than the standard day to day pressures of running a business during Covid-19. The findings show that entrepreneurs utilise shared learning through their networks as a means of validation and reassurance. They do this on a regular basis with the majority of their communications being designed to leave the four walls of the organisation for external validation from their network. Finally, this study uncovers that an entrepreneur{\textquoteright}s adeptness at monitoring those communications channels to receive the validation and feedback.",
