Abstract

The role of carbon capture and storage (CCS) is essential as a part of Paris Agreement to limit the global warming by 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels [1]. This, in turn, has led to ameliorate technologies, particularly in the area of carbon capture. The adsorption-based materials are associated with lower energy consumption compared to conventional solvent-based materials. These adsorbents which are mostly of porous solids have been applied to a wide range of temperature and pressure capture processes [2]. Herein, porous boron nitride (BN) materials are considered as a new class of sorbents for carbon capture applications due to their low cost and ease of manufacturing
