Abstract

Our imagination of future cities has been shaped by what we know and are comfortable with. Nick Dunn explains. We are all limited in our imagination of future cities and should challenge ourselves to also address issues of policies, governance and infrastructure when we imagine our future. In this keynote conversation, Professor Nick Dunn discusses the challenge of reimagining the image of the future and provides three key points for action:
• Challenge future imaginations: question traditional urban concepts.
• Adopt long-term perspective: consider impacts for seven generations ahead.
