Abstract

This chapter considers whether EU criminal law is able to tackle common cyberscams directed towards individuals. Cyberfraud against an individual is a key threat across the Union, and one that continues to grow. The chapter concludes that while there are some relevant provisions, it would be appropriate for a new instrument to be passed.
