N2 - The information contained in the slopes and locations of zero-crossing points for band-limited images of the Lonquimay complex allows mapping of texture features. The band limited images are derived and processed in two different ways: GSF filtering leads to maps of zero-crossing density, which is associated with response to periodic structure, and a spatial filtering approach based on local feature statistics yields maps of surface roughness. The sources of these textural properties, particularly surface ridges and folds, are related to the physical characteristics and history of the lava flows and are also influenced by the underlying surface topograhy.
