Over the first 6 months of 2012 the Court of Justice of the European Union (‘CJEU’) was offered the opportunity to provide further guidance and clarification on issues pertaining to age discrimination, namely in the cases of C-45/10 Meister, and C-141/11 Hörnfeldt. these two cases, and their implications are considered with a view to offering practical guidance.
