Abstract

Clinical trials are becoming increasingly important for our understanding of different treatment modalities in bladder cancer. The role of the Urology research nurse can make a significant contribution to the overall management of these trials not simply by maximising recruitment, but by providing direct expert care and support for the patient and family, throughout consent, treatment and on into the crucial follow-up phase.
