This special issue includes a selection of the papers that were presented as part of The Ruskin’s ‘Ruskin Beyond Britain’ seminar series. That series brought together an international community of researchers who collectively sought to place Ruskin’s legacy in a global context. From France to Italy and from Russia to America, the papers collected herein not only trace Ruskin’s reception across different national contexts, but also consider the effect of Ruskin’s intenational travels on the development of his identity and ideas.
