This collection acts as a feminist project but does not straight-forwardly renounce the wedding spectacle. Rather, these contributions offer an interrogation of its myriad forms and practices to illuminate the paradoxes, contradictions and disappointments of heteronormative love. Written by leading and emerging feminist scholars, the essays here range across different media forms, genres and cultural practices, to explore how the visibility of weddings changes and adapts across a new cultural and social landscape.
