Abstract

We investigate the use of InSb on a dielectric substrate to generate Cherenkov radiation by using electron beam excited surface plasmon polaritons in the THz range. The radiation is tunable in a wide range of frequency by changing both the beam energy and the doping level of the semiconductor.
