N2 - This paper discusses possible technologies and the issues involved in creating ubiquitous display landscapes for the dynamic environment of the future office. Ubiquitous display solutions are required to support flexible working methodologies, where office space is frequently reconfigured as project teams are formed then disbanded. Display landscape solutions are available by embedding displays in mobile furniture, by projecting displays onto surfaces in the environment, by using portable handheld devices, or by using a combination of all techniques. However, many research questions still remain before viable ubiquitous display solutions can be implemented. This paper identifies these issues and outlines directions for future work.
