Abstract

We know that contact with nature has physical and mental health benefits. And there’s increasing evidence that these benefits are mediated by the sense of connection that we have with nature. But we understand very little about how the quality of the environment affects nature connectedness.

The QUENCH network starts to address this gap by bringing researchers and practitioners together across disciplines and sectors to study the links between the Quality of Urban Ecosystems, Nature Connectedness and Health (QUENCH). This short film showcases one of the projects funded by the network.
