Abstract

This working paper sketches out the basis on which Work Package 3 will attend to wearable sensor technologies—how they are envisioned and their role in technological development aimed at zero-power, high performance mobile computing, as well as their place in visions of the future of healthcare, of changing lifestyles and occupations. This working paper outlines the partners' orientations to this domain of innovation which we hope we can use to identify indications of shared and complementary observations, interests and concerns. The results of this work will be used to progress our study towards finalising the initial assessment stage of this project, in preparation for the embedding stage, involving consultations with practitioners in the fields of high-tech sensors and ICT innovation policy.
