Communities in control: graphic narratives of health inequalities told by communities across England

Description

The project involved renowned UK artist Joe Decie working with two researchers at Lancaster University – Dr Emma Halliday ( Health and Medicine) and Dr Natasa Lackovic (Educational Research) – to collaboratively create a collective graphic memoir booklet about England's communities’ experiences and action, related to health inequalities.

This project is a part of a larger research programme (The Communities in Control study) funded by the NIHR School for Public Health Research and the NIHR Public health research programme. The study lead is Professor Jennie Popay.
