Task repetition and second language speech processing ability

Project: Research

This project investigated the effect of task repetition on the fluency of second language performance. The project analysed how various measures of speed, pausing and hesitations change as second language learners repeatedly perform language tasks in dyads. 32 Japanese English majors at a large public university in southern Japan were recorded while they performed three types oral tasks six times in a classroom context.
