Astronomy and religion have long been intertwined but their relationship and the degree to which they have influenced one another remains grossly under-researched. Cometan suggested in his masters dissertation titled 'Astronomy in the Origins of Religion' that the signs of astromorphism, astrolatry and astromancy in prehistoric religious behaviour or observations of the night sky constitute the beginnings of an Astronic religious tradition distinct from the already established Abrahamic, Dharmic and Taoic traditions.
