This WP-funded STEM engagement programme supported young people from Polish Supplementary Schools in the north west of England. Supplementary schools operate at evenings and weekends and are coordinated by the Polish Education Society. A team of Lancaster Physics staff and student ambassadors from the Physics Department engaged with these schools over the course of the 21/22 academic year to promote STEM and raise awareness of science at university. Under the leadership of Dr. Agnieszka Nowak, we delivered a programme of 11 school visits, an Open Day at Lancaster University in summer term, and a monthly science club, reaching more than a thousand young people and their families.
