The evidence I submitted to the International Relations and Defence Committee in response to a question asked during the oral evidence session on 17 May 2022 exposes the importance of climate change for maritime security and proposes that to respond swiftly and pre-emptively to climate change-induced maritime security threats, risk assessment and early warning are key capabilities to further develop.
