Research overview

Rafael’s research centers on company law, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility through an interdisciplinary lens.

He currently undertakes his Ph.D. at Lancaster University Law School, researching the extent company law can influence the exercise of shareholder rights for the furtherance of sustainability in corporate governance. 


Rafael Savva graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from Lancaster University (2015) and an LL.M (Commercial Law) from University of Edinburgh (2016). Currently, Rafael is undertaking his Ph.D. at Lancaster University, supervised by Professor David Milman and Mr. Philip Lawton.
