Research overview

Rafael’s research centers on company law, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility.

His current research focuses on analysing shareholder stewardship by considering through an interdisciplinary lens the extent to which it can steer shareholders towards adopting practices that promote or contribute to the development of corporate governance for sustainability.



Rafael Savva graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from Lancaster University (2015) and an LL.M (Commercial Law) from University of Edinburgh (2016). Currently, Rafael is undertaking his Ph.D. at Lancaster University, supervised by Professor David Milman and Mr. Philip Lawton.
