I'm currently interested in multimedia, network resilience, DDoS attacks and spam.
Prior interests include programmable networks, active networking, URN resolution, quality-of-service (QoS), group communication and group management.
At some point, I enjoyed solving Nonograms, and writing programs to solve them. I created and maintain the Nonogram Solver site.
The Web has turned into an utter abomination, totally missing the point of being able to adapt to the rendering conditions. To get this frustration off my chest, a created and maintain "How The Web Went Wrong".
Although I'm not currently teaching as such, I do maintain “Learning C from Java”, created to support Lancaster students who were taught Java programming in their first year, and needed C for later aspects of their degrees.
